I moved to Nevada 12 years ago from the great State of Texas. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in Journalism and upon moving to Stateline, NV I accepted a job with Caesars Entertainment as the NNV Internal Communications Specialist, then got laid off. I joined a boutique hotel in South Lake Tahoe as Director of Marketing and eventually Assistant GM, and then they sold. I was lucky to land a great opportunity with Basecamp Hotels as Regional GM (cue epic snow, COVID, wildfires, evacuations, and more snow). After 5 adverse years as a General Manager, my hotel sold again and I opted to leave hospitality. In the Fall of 2023, I joined the Douglas County family as the Economic Vitality Manager. Along with a new career path, I also got married in June 2023. My husband, stepson our two puppies, and I are living happily ever after in Carson City. For fun, we love exploring our beautiful state, off-roading and buying truck parts, dancing to live music, DIY home projects, and football, Go Cowboys!
